The Shape
Play the Boogeyman
Michael isn't a brawler — he's an escalation engine. Your night is spent building Bloodthirst through stealth, Stalk, and kills, prioritizing Special Targets (named NPCs), cutting phone lines and power, and delaying the police. You cannot be permanently killed, but you can be knocked down and temporarily detained by police — losing precious minutes of the night.
Stalk & Bloodthirst
Killer Sense is a first-person gaze mode: watching residents raises your Stalk level, up to a maximum of 3. Higher Stalk boosts damage, grabs, and tracking. Kills and stealth feed Bloodthirst, your broader power meter. Lights work against you — lit rooms reduce Bloodthirst and restrict Shape Jump, which is why smart civilians run for the switches.
Loadout rules
Your kit is 2 fixed abilities + 3 optional picks. Shape Jump and Killer Sense are always with you; the optional slots come from an unlockable pool including Reality Tear, Blackout, and Detection Pulse. You start with the kitchen knife; unlocks include an axe, with further weapons still unverified.
The opening game plan
- Build Stalk and Bloodthirst on NPCs and Special Targets first — not players.
- Shape Jump from darkness; re-enter it before anyone can track you.
- Cut power and phone lines early to slow the police call.
- Avoid fighting grouped civilians before your Stalk is built.
