Prestige challenges temporarily disabled
Updated Sep 11, 2026v1.0.1Verified1 min read
On September 10, 2026, the official Halloween: The Game account announced that Prestige challenges have been temporarily disabled while the team investigates issues, with the fix targeted at an upcoming patch.
The short version for players:
- If your Prestige challenges vanished or stopped tracking on September 10, that is intentional and server-side — nothing on your end is broken, and reinstalling won't bring them back.
- Regular (non-Prestige) challenge progress is a separate system. Some players also report issues there; see challenges not counting for what actually helps.
- No timeline was given beyond "a future patch." We'll update the patch tracker the moment the fix ships.
The same announcement thread also covered how the game's player-driven moderation works — see our summary of the block, mute, and report system.
